He changes everyday

Mitchell is starting a long history of over achieving. Normally a baby can hold they're head up at 3 months. Look at him do it like a pro at 2 months. (But I'm not bias.)

He is a very happy baby. He especially loves to show off his black Converse.

Our little gentleman... He sits with his hands folded.

Grandparents Visit Part II

Who knew having a baby would take up so many moments during the day? Rich or I have sat down to update the blog on many occaisions and get pulled away within moments of starting. Eventually this page will get posted.

Grandma Celeste and Grandpa Steve came for a visit several weeks ago and immediately Grandma Celeste took the reigns assisting Mitch in one of his four favorite activities.

Meanwhile Grandpa Steve was set to work doing manly things. (posted 4/28)

The Grandparents hung out with Mitch on Valentine's evening, giving Rich and I a chance to have a romantic dinner and catch an uninterupted movie. While that was the plan, very shortly before dessert was served we found ourselves utterly exhausted (it was about 7:30 pm) and wondering to eachother when we had gotten old.

The following day Mitch anxiously awaited the arrival of his Auntie Kristin and Uncle Matt. With the help of Grandma Jane earlier that week, Mitch had prepared a special welcome for Auntie Kristin, asking her to participate in another one of his favorite activities. Here is what Mitch's shirt looked like the day she arrived:

Front/Back:

During their visit, everyone got to see one Mitch partake in a third of his favorite activities. In fact he loves this activity so much, it's what he did for the majority of their visit.

Mitch napped in his swing,

Mitch napped in his pillow,

and I'm not certain but I think Mitch napped behind his shades.

He wasn't the only one napping, though. I guess the need for naps must run in the family.

Kristin Rich and Mitch siesta.

A rested baby is a happy baby, though. Just check out the video and see for yourself as Mitch engages in his fourth favorite activity, play time.

Mitch and Grandpa Steve play the "Yeah Game".

We ventured out of the house and took a road trip up to Santa Fe, checking out jewelery, art, local style and introducing the family to Nutella at the local French cafe.
Kristin sports some local flair.

Matt, Kristin, Celeste and Rich pause to pose on the plaza.

And we did a lot of just hanging out at the house comparing smiles...

...and comparing toes. For those of you in my family, believe it or not those are not my toes in the background. Those toes belong to Aunt Kristin. Mitch has monkey toes (aka Talbot toes) coming down from both sides of the family.

We had such a great visit with everyone and really appreciated you making the trip out.

I can't believe I'm actually going to get this page posted. I'm not even going to spell check it for fear that I will loose precious moments of sleep.

Much love everyone.
