Tea with Daddy

Tonight we went to an open house at Mitchell's preschool.   Mitchell was  "the teacher" and he showed us how to make tea.  Here he is opening the tea packet. That was followed by getting water, heating it up in the microwave, pouring milk and setting the table.

Mitchell set out the table cloth and all of the tea set himself.  Then he  poured tea for  Daddy and himself.

After tea he taught us how to play Dradle

After our lessons, we had snacks which included cupcakes.  On the way home Mitchell was trying to convince me that cupcakes are healthy food because they "are made of protein". Which prompted him to ask, "What is protein made of?".  "Amino acids," I said, thinking that might be the end of it.  "What are amino acids made of?"..."Molecules"..."What are molecules made of?"..."Atoms"..."What are atoms made of?"..."Electrons, neutrons and protons."..."What are electrons, neutrons and protons made of?"..."Ummmm, quarks I think" (really stretching it here)..."What are quarks made of?"..."I don't know buddy, that's a good question."...To which Mitchell says, "Oh I know! Quarks are made of cupcakes!"...It's a delicious place to live this universe of ours.

Our weather girl...not much can stop Stevie from wanting to be outside.  We recently had several days of very windy and very rainy conditions.  So windy, in fact, that one of our small palm trees blew over.

Mitchie LOVES making faces.  We took this picture several months ago and today, while looking through a kids magazine, we found the following giraffe picture which looks alarmingly similar.
