Hanging with the Brodie boy

Is there anyway to get them all to look at the camera at the same time?

Annular Eclipse 2012

For all of you that may not have Geeked out as much as we did...enjoy.
Rich made the viewing box.
Yet another piece of evidence that you can do anything with duct tape.

Here you can see that Mitchell was really taking interest in viewing the eclipse.

Stevie's new wheels

Stevie has been watching Mitchell ride everywhere on his bicycle and so Daddy picked her up her own wheels and safety gear.  She just loves her helmet and wants to wear it even when she is not on her scooter.

Mitchell's first joke

Tonight as I was rubbing Mitchell's back during our bedtime routine he asked me,"Why does Annie go to school?"

I answered, "To learn how to read and do math and write," and he interrupted with enthusiasm,"and to cook".

"That's right buddy, Miss Annie is leaning how to cook at school too," I responded.  "I think she might go to school to learn to be a teacher too.  Some people go to school to learn to be teachers, some go to school to learn to be doctors and some go to school to learn to be pilots.  People go to school to learn to do lots of different things."

"I'm going to be a pilot," he said.

"Mitchell you can be anything you want," I said taking the opportunity to encourage him. "You could be a pilot and a doctor and a daddy!"

"Wow," he said. "And an airplane mechanic."

"That's right buddy, you can be anything you want to be," I responded

He smiled a HUGE smile and said, "A door?"

To which I responded with a HUGE smile back,"You think you could be a door?  That's silly!"

He laughed,"Yea, I made a joke."

Guess he's going to be a comedian too.

Much love,
Niki
